Hospitality Leadership Forum (Saturday, November 9)
A full day conference with top industry executives, analysts and educators presenting their perspectives on the hospitality sector for 2014. Morning keynotes are a CEO Leadership Panel outlining business and consumer trends impacting hospitality, and the U.S. Lodging Industry Summit Panel detailing data metrics such as RevPAR and Occupancy by market segment and region.

Seminars During Show Days
Every year, the IHMRS offers free educational seminars covering the most relevant and timely topics for the industry. Sessions cover a wide range of topics, from design, technology, human resourses, operations, social media, sales and marketing and personal and professional development, as well as numerous programs created for the lodging professional.

AH&LA Fall Conference
Held each year in conjunction with the International Hotel / Motel & Restaurant Show, the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) Fall Conference brings the federation leadership to New York City for a busy and informative schedule. Delegates attend committee meetings, the AH&LA Issues Forum, and the AH&LA Board of Directors meeting, as well as social functions.

Restaurant owners and operators looking for new technology solutions to manage both front and back of the house operations will find them at the 2013 International Hotel, Motel + Restaurant Show’s i.Menu Expo. Hosted in partnership with i.Business Magazine, the i.Menu Expo will showcase developers of iPad and Android tablet apps, accessory manufacturers and hardware vendors, who will demonstrate the latest menu and back-end office solutions, including cost-effective ways to improve productivity and bottom lines.

The i.Menu Expo will take place on the IHMRS exhibit floor, November 9-12, 2013, and will feature live demonstrations. The special focus area will complement the hundreds of technology resources showcased throughout the 3-day market.

The Technology Innovation Center keeps attendees abreast of today’s restaurant & hotel software and Internet solutions. Sponsored by Hospitality Upgrade Magazine, the Center includes numerous exhibitor kiosks where buyers can “touch and feel” today’s cutting edge software and Internet products.

Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI)

Do you have questions about your current operations or ideas for a new restaurant? Do you wish that you had an opportunity to speak with a professional foodservice consultant to answer your questions or discuss your project? Then you need to register for a free 30-minute consultation with an FCSI consultant!

An FCSI consultant can help you to reach your goals in the following areas:

Front-of-House (FOH) Experience: Boost your guests’ perceptions, improve server efficiency and elevate your operation’s reputation in public-facing areas, such as the dining room, lobby, bar, patio and garden, host and cashier stations and more.

Back-of-House (BOH) Design: Discover how you can improve workflow, increase diner satisfaction and more by improving the design of kitchen, pantry and storage areas, and refrigeration and freezer spaces.

Management Advisory Services: Learn how you can strengthen your existing operations and increase productivity and efficiency using the following strategies: concept development, quality control review, management recruitment, financial review, compliance, and menu design and layout.

Thirty-minute consultations will be available on the IHMRS exhibit floor. Check back this summer for a list of consultants offering their services and to book an appointment.

We’re pleased to work with media representatives – before, during and after the International Hotel, Motel + Restaurant Show – providing information to meet your editorial needs and deadlines.

Press Releases and Images

As press releases are emailed to the media, they will also appear on this website under The Show – IHMRS News. If you need additional information, an interview with a Show spokesperson, or images, please contact IHMRS Marketing Support Manager Cassie Whitaker.

Onsite Press Center

We maintain a fully-staffed Press Center during IHMRS, and look forward to welcoming you there. It will be your place to pick up exhibitor press kits, grab a refreshment, arrange interviews, check emails and more.

Why Exhibit

Each year the International Hotel, Motel + Restaurant Show® (IHMRS) delivers 18,000 key buyers from around the world—powerful industry players sourcing the latest hospitality products and services. It’s here each November that top-level owners, operators and purchasing companies converge, with two goals in mind: to enrich the guest experience and enhance the bottom line.

This year, attendees will discover a refreshed IHMRS, with new pavilions, new partnerships and new management—HMG (Hospitality Management Group), producers of BDwest, BDNY and the BD Forum Series. Expect a more experiential show, with intimate, targeted networking events, inspiring pop-up spaces, on-floor education theaters and energized buyers ready to do business.

Press Credentials

To ensure quality press coverage and representation on the exhibit floor, media representatives need current, official credentials to qualify as press for HMG-managed tradeshows. To be eligible for press badges, media representatives must present required credentials from an approved media outlet, as outlined below. HMG reserves the right to refuse anyone a press badge, at any time and for any purpose.

Who qualifies for a press badge at HMG-managed tradeshows?

  • Editors, television and radio producers, and print/broadcast reporters from approved media outlets will receive editorial press badges.
  • Publishers and advertising and sales representatives from approved media outlets will receive advertising press badges.

Who does NOT qualify for a press badge at HMG-managed tradeshows?

  • Public relations representatives; marketing, creative services, circulation and other employees of magazines, newspapers and television stations; writers and publishers of personal or corporate newsletters; and family members of legitimate media are not eligible for press badges. Book authors eligibility will be determined on case-by-case basis.

In order to qualify for an editorial or advertising press badge, media representatives must present current press identification.  This includes a business card (with individual’s name and title and the name of an approved media outlet) AND one of the following:

  1. The mastpage from an approved media outlet with individual’s name and title listed.
  2. A copy of or an Internet link to a current by-lined article published in an approved media outlet within the past six months.

Freelance writers and photographers must present a letter of assignment from an approved publication to be granted a press badge.  Freelance writers or columnists not on an assignment must provide a copy of an industry-relevant by-lined article, published within the past six months in an approved media outlet.

Electronic media representatives, including editors of websites, must present proof of an existing site with relevant editorial content and proof of circulation.

Public Relations representatives must register as “exhibitor personnel”, if their clients are confirmed participants in the tradeshow.  A business card and proof of client relationship with exhibiting manufacturer will be required. Alternatively, Public Relations representatives also may register on-site for the tradeshow as a “trade guest”, with payment of any necessary fees.
