Annual Sunglass & Reader Division (SRD) Reception
Join us on Friday, March 20, for our Annual Sunglass & Reader Division (SRD) Reception at a new location, The Attic Rooftop & Lounge, located at 251 West 48th Street on the corner of 8th Avenue. This reception, held at the exciting 3,500 square foot bi-level space located on the 15th and 16th floors of the property, will include open bar and light hors d’oeuvres. To register, click here.

Choose Your Own Adventure: Part I (you must participate in both Part I and Part II)
This year’s optometry student education program will let you control what you learn. Your experience will be based on your knowledge gained while participating in the Vision Expo CE Program. You’ll select any ONE course from options in four key areas including clinical, contact lenses, business solutions, and optical technology. After the session, you’ll connect what you learned with the exhibit hall to discover how companies can support you in your future success. Your coursework will need to be completed before 3:00pm on Saturday. Please keep that in mind when selecting which course you will attend.

Choose Your Own Adventure, Part II: Optometry Student Education
At 4:00pm on Saturday, you will attend the Choose Your Own Adventure: Part II course. Discuss your experience with other students in small groups. ODs will help facilitate conversations, provide feedback, and explain how your experiences can be applied to your future career.

Bad Habits “Eye Docs of Rock” & Vision Expo Opening Night Party
Mingle with your peers and industry professionals as you rock out to the Bad Habits “Eye Docs of Rock” from 9:00pm – 12:00am. You must get a wristband from a sponsors’ booth (by 6pm Friday) to attend.

EyeRock: Rockin’ for New Eyes
Rockin’ for New Eyes is a benefit concert comprised of musicians who work in the optical industry. They are donating their talent to help New Eyes raise money to provide new prescription eyeglasses to children and adults in financial need living in the United States so that they can build full, productive lives through clear vision. The concert takes place during Vision Expo East, the largest optical industry convention in North America. http://www.new-eyes.org/eyerock/. ODs on Facebook Party
International Vision Expo has teamed with Dr. Alan Glazier, founder of ODs on Facebook, to host an event open to all ophthalmic professionals currently in the social network or looking to begin. Students are invited to a high end New York bar to mix and mingle with peers before heading out on the town. *You MUST participate in the Choose Your Own Adventure course (Two Parts: S201 and S203) and Optometry Student Lunch (S202) to receive your wristband to attend the Optometry Student Party Prevent Blindness Person of Vision Dinner honoring Ed Greene
